More digging

After almost a full week of digging down various types of tubing and pipes we have the sewer system done, the new water well is connected and we ready for the electric company to connect our house to the grid. Very happy to be done with this work.

Connecting the water well

The drilled water well is about 25 meters away from the house. It was drilled a few weeks ago but in order to get water from it we need to connect it with piping as well as electricity for the deep water pump.

Preparing for electricity & Internet

Once done with putting down the water pipe to the well we started the longs dig of them all; digging a trench for the electricity going from the workshop all the way down to the main road. In total this was about 120 meters of digging.

We’re digging down 3 different pipes. The large yellow pipe is a 110mm wide pipe for the main electric connection. The small 50mm yellow pipe is for future lighting and/or an electric gate at the property entrance. And last, the green 50mm pipe is for internet fiber that we hope to get installed at the same time as the electricity.

Final thoughts

It’s been a tough week, hot weather with lost of digging but we managed to get a lot done in just a week. The sewer system is ready to start using, the water well connecting is prepared for next step and both electric and fiber internet installation is one step closer to reality.
